Away is synonymous with well-made and feature-packed luggage that adheres to a minimal aesthetic, but the brand’s new collaboration with tennis legend Serena Williams has brought a bit of added flair to its suitcases, slings, and more, and you'll want to get yourself a (game, set,) matching set.
Inspired By Life On Tour

Few professional athletes spend as much time on the road as tennis players, who criss-cross the planet to new tournaments nearly every week, and Williams said that she drew inspiration for the designs from her decades of global travel.
"Travel has always been ingrained in my identity, both professionally and personally, which is why I am so excited to continue my partnership with Away,” she said in a press release announcing the collaboration. "With this latest phase of our work together, I'm thrilled to share a collection that speaks to the new realities of travel and highlights my personal take on design and functionality, all with the hope that it can get people excited for the future."
Eye-Popping Designs

Unlike Williams’ first, pre-pandemic Away collection, which consisted of a single bright red colorway with a multicolored camo interior, the new collection encompasses several limited edition colors, as well as a special swirl print that, to our eyes, is the most unique design ever featured on an Away bag. It looks particularly great in its darker iteration, like on the Away Pet Carrier, but a lighter version is also available for all Away’s main suitcases.
As for the collection’s three other limited edition pastel shades, the exterior color notably extends to the mesh zipper pocket on the inside of the bag, which is usually the same dark gray no matter which color you choose. The only exception is the swirl print bag, which opts for a green pocket that’ll have you pining for Wimbledon.
Away’s collaborations are typically only available for a short period of time, so if you’re a fan of Williams’ designs, you’ll want to order them soon. Now we just need Away to design a tennis racket bag.
