There, you can enjoy the staggering view from the top of the Burj Khalifa, take a romantic boat ride on Dubai Creek, and rent a Ferrari to drive through the stark desert. Save up your cash to splurge on a truly over-the-top getaway. Stay in a luxury resort by the water and take advantage of the many shopping options in the city. Conquer the Appalachian Trail, USA

If you and your new spouse are the outdoorsy type consider hiking part of the Appalachian Trail together for your honeymoon. Depending on the time of year you get hitched, you may have to delay your honeymoon according to the best times to hike. Northbound hikers should start out in March or April, while southbound hikers should set off in May or June. While hiking the Appalachian Trail is definitely not a luxury vacation, it can be a great way to unplug and truly get to know each other. Plus, your first act as a married couple will be accomplishing something truly fantastic together. Not a bad way to start a marriage.
